The Big Egg Hunt
Approx. 5 minutes from Russell Square Underground Station to Covent Garden where you can begin your search!
Easter has arrived slightly early in London this year as 200 very special eggs (not of the chocolate variety) have been hidden around different areas of the city! Each giant egg measuring two and a half foot high has been created by a different artist, designer, architect, illustrator or jeweller. Look out for playful interpretations such as the Post Box egg, Where's Wally egg and 'Busby' the soldier egg. Many other beautiful and imaginative designs are waiting to be discovered around famous London sites including Regent's Park, Trafalgar Square, South Bank and Covent Garden.
Faberge are giving egg hunters the fantastic opportunity to be automatically entered into the competition by texting a unique keyword which can be found on each egg you have tracked down to 80001. The lucky winner will be presented with the ultimate Diamond Jubilee Faberge Egg, crafted from 18 carat gold and encrusted with 60 gems and diamonds - one for every year of the Queen's reign!
When the hunt finishes in April the eggs will all be put up for auction, with proceeds going to charities Action for Children and The Elephant Family. Tourists, locals and visitors are all encouraged to join in the fun, so get cracking and hit the streets with family and friends for an eggstraordinary day out!
Don't forget to visit the website
www.thebigegghunt.co.uk
for clues and downloadable zone maps, which point out the different locations of all the eggs to help you on your hunt!
