Ice at the Tower
Approx. 22 minutes from Russell Square Underground Station. Take the Piccadilly line to Kings Cross St. Pancras. Change here for the Circle line to Tower Hill underground station.
For a great festive day out this winter, take a trip to London's most dramatic open-air ice rink as it returns once again to the spectacular historical setting of the Tower of London. An ideal fun winter activity for children, couples and friends alike, in a perfect location for lunchtime skating, after-work gatherings, romantic dates and weekend leisure!
The Tower's ice rink is nestled down in the dry moat, beneath the magnificent fortress battlements, providing a stunning and truly unique backdrop for festive skating in the City. The rink is open until 10pm daily and is beautifully illuminated after dark, making it a wonderful might time destination as well.
Trained Ice Guides are available to look after you during your session on the ice, whilst beside the rink the Ice Bar & Cafe provides the perfect place to warm up afterwards with a hot chocolate and a mince pie! For more information on ticket prices and session times visit:

If you really want to make a fantastic day of your visit here, it is definitely worth purchasing a ticket to explore within the walls of this great fortress too. The Towers famous Beefeaters will take you on a guided tour to see the Ravens and marvel at the Crown Jewels, whilst revealing its 900 year history as a royal palace, prison, place of execution and zoo!
