Take a leisurely stroll from Bloomsbury, through Holborn, then meander through Covent Garden’s cobbled lanes and finish at the Southbank. It’s a pleasant way to spend an hour or so (depending how many cafes and shop windows tempt you inside) and the route finishes with stunning views of glittering skyscrapers, the
London Eye, and views of parliament as you reach Waterloo Bridge.

Then why not take the number 1 bus, or the 68, from Waterloo Bridge or Aldwych Drury Lane, back to President Hotel? Exit the bus on Southampton Row and walk just a few steps back indoors. It’s vibrant part of the city, where you can walk along Camden Lock and people watch. If you have more time, the route from
Camden Lock to King’s Cross St Pancras, for a total of 25 minutes, is where you will also discover Coal Drops Yard – an industrial chic hubbub of local independent shops, big named fashion brands and restaurants, complete with a hidden gem bookshop called ‘Words on the Water’. This bookshop is a quirky and cosy place which is on a houseboat, complete with a roaring fireplace and English classics lining the shelves.
