    We are seeking a friendly, flexible, and customer-focused General Porter to join the Housekeeping team at Imperial London Hotels. In this role you will provide operational support for all aspects of the housekeeping department in an energetic, timely and precise manner. You will provide all necessary equipment and items, requested by supervisors, room attendants or guests.

    Who are we looking for?

    As our ideal General Porter, you will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of cleaning and some experience within a similar role. You will also require experience / knowledge of:

    • Customer Service
    • Working in a busy fast-paced environment
    • Basic level of spoken and written English essential

    What will I be responsible for?

    Joining our team as General Porter, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service in our Hotels. On a daily basis, this will involve:

    • Collect and transport clean and dirty linen (e.g. sheets, towels, bedspreads, etc.)
    • Ensure a high level of cleanliness is maintained in all areas of responsibility within the hotel
    • Clean and maintain presentation of communal areas including receptions, courtyards, public toilets, restaurants, bars, etc.  Use cleaning materials appropriately as instructed and economically (inform appropriate supervisor or Head of Department when stocks are low)
    • Ensure tools and equipment used in course of day-to-day operations are in good working order, reporting any faults to appropriate supervisor or Head of Department
    • Empty and clean bins and remove waste to designated area, including the separation of waste, i.e. recycling
    • Clean internal and external doors, glass entrance panels, surfaces, flooring and other areas as advised
    • Report any defects seen which may affect security e.g. broken/cracked windows, damaged furniture etc, to appropriate supervisor or Head of Department
